Objective: Treatment with glucocorticoids and mineralocorticoids has changed congenital adrenal hyperplasia (CAH) from a fatal to a chronic lifelong disease. As a result of long-term treatment, including chronic (over-)treatment with glucocorticoids, patients with CAH may develop an adverse cardiovascular risk profile.
